Spanish for the IB Diploma is a brand new suite of resources to make teaching IB Spanish simple and rewarding. It caters for Language B - for students learning Spanish as a second language but at an advanced level. The authors have consulted widely on the needs of such teachers and students and have a built a course that delivers the ideal mix of: - culturally appropriate stimulus material - clear explanation of grammar - development of appropriate vocabulary - student tasks for all range of abilities - print based, audio and web based support material combined together into a coherent course that gradually builds students' confidence and skills. The course is based around the desired 'learner profile' of the IB student: - developing 'global citizens' with an international perspective but also keen to serve in their local community - students who are keen to communicate with and understand people of other cultures - a sense of creativity in their approach to learning and interest in literature and the arts - independence of thought, critical thinking and problem-solving . At every stage opportunities for developing understanding of the Theory of Knowledge are highlighted.
