By putting on the song CD and opening the book, the reader can join in with the song and follow the actions and sounds as they enjoy the book. The back of the book contains a pictorial glossary, English words for the song, guitar chords and a list of extension ideas for parents and teachers. The book is Book 3 in a series.

Te Reo Singalong series - winner of the Print category at the Maori Language Awards in Gisborne 2013.
Te Reo Singalong books are just delightful, with catchy tunes, beautiful illustrations and a CD which makes pronouncing the words easy! The children have picked them up so quickly and it is not unusual to hear them singing them spontaneously as they go about their own activities. – Cathy Wilson, Wa Ora Montessori School
Sharon Holt lives in the Waikato region of New Zealand. She worked as a teacher and journalist before remembering her childhood dream of becoming a children's author. Since that wake up call, her children's books have been published by many trade and educational publishers. After starting to learn te reo Maori in 2002, Sharon got the idea for Te Reo Singalong books. She was working as a relief teacher in kindergartens and primary schools at the time, and realised that most teachers in mainstream education lack confidence to use and teach the level of te reo that is expected of them as part of the NZ curriculum. She designed Te Reo Singalong books to make it easy and fun to teach and learn more sentence structures in te reo.
Contains full colour pages, singalong CD, repetitive sentence structure in te reo, English translation, guitar chords, glossary and list of extension activity ideas.
